Short Courses in Ship Design and Cold-Region Operations

With support from the Hibernia and the Hebron Projects and ACOA, CISMaRT will deliver three short courses in ship design and cold-region operations —Introduction to Ships and the Shipping World, Applied Naval Architecture, and Design and Operation of Icebreaking Ships — in support of the marine industry and the Ice-Pact initiative.

Each course, which includes several submodules, is designed at the post-secondary level for marine engineers and other professionals, including policy officers. Together, they aim to strengthen understanding of ship design and operations in cold regions.

All the three courses will be delivered through Brightspace, an online learning management system.
